The mens Senior Team have their first home league game this Saturday at 5pm against Allenwood in round 3 of division 2. It would be great to see a big crowd in Eadestown for their first home league match. In particular, we are encouraging parents to bring their kids to the match to cheer on the lads.
The Senior Ladies were due to play Sarsfields last night, in Sarsfields. Unfortunately the pitch was unplayable and the match was postponed. Keep on eye on Clubzap for the re-scheduled fixture.
The Senior Ladies reserve team were away to Kilcock last night and won easily by 2-13 to 0-3.
All fixtures & results can be viewed on clubzap and on the Eadestown website and on the Kildare GAA website:
Juvenile training recommenced last Friday night at 6.30pm and will continue every Friday throughout the year. For the next few weeks, we will be facilitating a Gear & Boot Swap in the meeting room during training sessions:
How it works: Bring any clean, used gear or boots your child has outgrown.
The Goal: Give your old gear a second life and perhaps pick up 'new-to-you' items for the season ahead.
Our annual Easter Camp takes place next week and place can still be booked at the following link:
The Joker Jackpot is now €5,200! Tickets are €2 each and are available to buy by clicking the link below, by scanning the barcode in the image, from Committee Members or from the bar staff in Kilteel Inn. The draw takes place every Sunday night at 7.30pm in Kilteel Inn.
Tá dul chun cinn iontach déanta ag baill óga an chlub le roinnt seachtainí anuas. Tá na grúpaí faoi aois ag cleachtadh frásaí Gaeilge ag an traenáil go rialta agus ag éirí thar barr leo. Tá sé go hiontach an spéis agus an fuinneamh atá le feiceáil uathu gach seachtain.
Chomh maith leis sin, bhí frása nó seanfhocal an lae á roinnt againn ar ár leathanaigh Instagram agus Facebook, rud a thug deis do gach duine sa chlub cúpla focal Gaeilge a úsáid ina saol laethúil.
Ar an Satharn seo caite, d’fhreastail ár nOifigeach Gaeilge ar cheardlann i bPáirc an Chrócaigh mar chuid de Fhondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha chun níos mó a fhoghlaim agus an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn sa chlub.
Tá moladh mór tuillte ag gach duine atá páirteach, agus táimid ag súil leis an dul chun cinn a leanúint sna seachtainí amach romhainn. Coimeád suas an dea-obair!
Gaeilge in the Club
Our young members have made fantastic progress over the past number of weeks. The underage groups have been practising Irish phrases regularly at training and are doing extremely well. It’s great to see the interest and enthusiasm they show each week. In addition, we have been sharing a daily phrase or proverb on our Instagram and Facebook pages, giving everyone in the club the opportunity to use a few words of Irish in their everyday lives.
Last Saturday, our Irish language officer attended a workshop in Croke Park as part of the Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha programme to learn more and to help promote the Irish language within the club.
Great credit is due to everyone involved, and we look forward to seeing this progress continue in the weeks ahead. Keep up the great work!
In particular the Executive would like to draw your attention to the fact that under 16s are not permitted to use the gym at any time. Also, 16-18 year olds can only use the gym as part of a session that is supervised by a member who has completed the Gym Induction Course (Coaches, supervisors and volunteers working with underage members must hold current Vetting / Safeguarding certificates – records must be available
for verification by the club’s Childrens Officer)
We are holding a Gym Induction session on the 19th April at 5pm at the Gym. This is a requirement for any Gym users who have not previously attended the induction, or current members who would like a refresher. Dara McGettrick, who is part of the Mens Senior team, will conduct the induction. Any queries, please contact me.
