The Eadestown U14 team played their second Feile match versus Carbury in a home encounter that left all onlookers uncertain of the outcome until the dying minutes of the second half.

Eadestown had the majority of possession in the first half.  However, five missed goals against a very competent Carbury goalkeeper meant that the lads finished the half with only a one point lead to show for their efforts.   The score at half time was Eadestown 1-7 to Carbury 2-3.

Carbury started the second half strong with two consecutive scores of a goal and a point.  These were answered by two well taken points by Charlie Carroll. However with 15 minutes to go, Carbury had a one point lead and were starting to dominate in midfield. Carbury converted three more points and then things took a positive turn when CJ Boran buried a goal into the net.  Captain Mal Harney equalised with a point with twelve minutes to go.  With five minutes left, despite a massive effort by our lads, it was looking like the game might end with a draw.  Full forward Niall Grainger changed that however with a super goal, followed by a last minute point from a very prolific Charlie Carroll which sealed the result for Eadestown.

We are now through to the semi-finals which will be played on April 22nd. Round 3 of Feile is away versus Milltown this Thursday 12th April.   This will determine who we play in the semi-finals, a win vs Milltown will put us up against Abbey Rangers and a loss will put us up against Kill who won the other group.  One step at a time however, a win versus Milltown is our next objective!

Final score Eadestown 3-11 to Carbury 3-7.
